Pulaski-Boylston Snowmobile Club 2007-2008 Season Trail Info Hotline - Phone: (315) 298-3522 December | January | February | March The Quick Links Above Are For Information On This Page Only December 2007 12-25-07 The lower section of trails around the village are temporarily closed until we receive more snow. The warm weather and rain wiped out everything we had to start with and most of the trails are down to mud. These trails will remained closed until we get enough snow to ride. NYS law states there must be no less than 3 inches to ride.
The rain didn't wipe out our upper trails in the Boylston area but it did hurt. It made them very soft and mushy and the sleds that were out did a great deal of damage. The groomer went out last night and did Blounts Mills Rd. up through the Beaver Creek trail to Little John. The Beaver Creek trail is in remarkably good shape. The rt. 17 bypass to Ct. Rt. 17 was done. There are many wet spots through there so use caution if riding that trail. The trail to Tucker that goes along Rt. 17 through the swamp is also very wet. Best bet would be take the high ground along Ct. Rt. 17 to Tucker. Follow the groomer tracks! Tucker was done and and Bargy down to the Boylston Town Hall. Those trails are in great condition.
Other than the wet spots the trails have held up fairly well. Please use caution when riding due to a lot of water in certain spots.
The week ahead forecast doesn't look as if it will support grooming operations so we ask everyone to please have patience until some more winter like conditions arrive.
General Information Trails will open provided there is adequate snow cover - 3 inches minimum per New York State Law. If you have any trail conditions questions please contact trailmaster@pulaski-boylstonsnow.com They will be answered on as time permits basis. |
